Summer Camp 2023: Textiles Week! July 17th-21st
$575.00For children entering Kindergarten-4th grade.
This session's projects will focus on textile arts like embroidery and sewing, weaving, and making our own dolls/stuffies. Our approach to facilitating art projects is open-ended and we'll be learning sewing skills in a fun and supportive way, meeting each camper where they are at. No prior sewing experience is necessary! Campers will have plenty of opportunities to bring their own creative spin to each sewing project.
Outside of project time, the day will include free play activities like reading books, blocks, toys and games, dramatic play, and more art experiences like beading and drawing.
We are excited to return to our previous indoor location! Camp will be hosted at the schoolhouse inside Congregation Beth Sholom at 301 14th Avenue. We'll start the day with outdoor play on the rooftop play yard. Lunch, indoor play and project work will take place indoors. Masks are recommended but optional for each family, and all teachers will be fully vaccinated and boosted. We will follow all SFPDH Covid guidelines and will keep doors and windows open during the program.
*Each family will be asked to fill out a registration form, a liability waiver, and a Covid agreement after signing up.
