Summer Camp Alameda - Dollhouse Making - July 27th-31st
For children in Kindergarten-4th grade.
Campers this week will build and furnish their very own wooden house to take home and enjoy for years to come! Whether they decide their house will be for dolls, characters, animals or superheroes, the choices are limitless as campers put their own creative spin on their blank house. After building the house from a kit using real tools, we will paint, decorate and build tiny furnishings for their houses. The week will end with creating figures and characters to play with inside the house.
Outside of project time, the day will include free play activities like reading books, blocks, toys and games, dramatic play, and more art experiences like beading and drawing.
Camp runs from 9:00-1:30. Late Care is available during this session from 1:30-4:00
Daily Schedule:
9:00-10:30- drop off and outdoor play on the playground
10:30-11:45- project time and free play
11:45- lunch and book time
12:15- outdoor movement break
12:30-1:15- indoor free play, finish up projects
1:20-1:30- camp pick up
1:30-4:00 Late Care on site
*Please note that camp will be hosted at 3100 Van Buren Street (St Philip campus) for summer 2026. We will be using a large beautiful classroom art studio for indoor activities, with lots of time to play on the school’s outdoor playground in the morning and after lunch.
All of our camps have a ratio of 1 teacher to 7 campers (group size of 14 campers) to allow for lots of teacher support and small group interaction. All of our teachers have years of teaching experience, background check, and CPR/First Aid certification.
Cancellation policy: I'm happy to offer a refund minus a $75 fee up until May 1st. After that, I will need to fill your child's spot in order to offer a refund.
Discounted Tuition: We offer a discount for Oakland and Alameda public school families receiving California Assistance (SNAP, CalFresh, Alameda Point Collaborative services, etc). To request a discount please fill out the form here
